Pastor's letter

I am about to do a new thing! Isaiah 43:19

I read this verse from Isaiah and was reminded of God’s faithfulness. The opening of this passage
gives us a glimpse at what God has done for Israel in the past. But then we hear this verse and
God is about to do a new thing. God is about to provide another act of deliverance for the people.
And yet this time God is not limited to accomplishing new things in the same old way. God
is capable of and is doing new things all around us!

As the seasons finally change into spring we see physical evidence of God doing a new thing. In
our daily lives we too can see evidence of God doing a new thing. God is there all around us doing a new
thing in our relationships, in our workplaces, in our community and in the world. We may not always recognize his
presence but I can assure you He is there.

This year my husband, Matt and I give thanks to God for the four beautiful children that God has placed in our home. We don’t know what the future holds but we are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our children.  We also see evidence of God doing a new thing with the adoption of our two year old daughter Ella who was placed with us at 2 months old.

Peace,

Pastor Jaci Tiell
